Functions

Non-wood fibers

Bleaching non-wood fibers
Non-wood fibers contain less lignin than wood and are therefore easier to pulp and bleach. Being naturally brighter than wood, they require less intense whitening regardless of method. They also bleach better with milder bleaching sequences such as hydrogen peroxide, oxygen and ozone. Generally, non-wood fibers also take less water, chemicals and energy.

Eka ClO2 Purate technology is ideal for small, non-woody fiber mills, which typically have a daily requirement of 5 ton ClO2, or less. Eka ClO2 Purate technology is supported globally via strategic manufacturing and distribution sites.
