Occupational injuries
Five occupational injuries resulting in lost working hours – lost time injuries (LTIs) – occurred within the business unit in 2006. The accident frequency was 0.96 LTIs per million hours worked, a considerable improvement from 1.89 in 2005. The company target for 2007 is 0.8, with the ultimate target of zero. A comprehensive Behavior-Based Safety Program was introduced in 2006 in order to significantly reduce injury rates.


Sick leave
The number of working hours lost annually due to illness, regardless of the reason for sick leave, amounted to 2.3% of the total number of working hours. This is an improvement of 0.2% compared to last year.
