Expancel® is a registered brand name for Eka´s microspheres product. Expancel comprises microscopic plastic particles filled with gas. When heated, the volume increases more than 40 times.
Major application areas are injection-moulded PVC soles for footwear, printing ink, explosives and paper and board. Other usage areas are tennis balls, artificial marble, wine bottle corks, autobody and boat filler.
